Warranty Overview
At TEKDEP, we stand behind the quality of our repairs and parts. Our warranty policy ensures peace of mind for every customer—whether you shop online, visit in-store, or mail in your device for service. Please review the details carefully before submitting a claim.
Repairs (In-Store and Mail-In)
- 60-day full warranty covering both repair and parts.
- We will cover any part that fails internally during this period.
- Warranty excludes accidental physical damage, liquid damage, or issues caused by misuse or third-party interference.
Part Sales
- 60-day warranty on most replacement parts.
- Coverage applies only to internal part failures.
- Logic boards include a standard 60-day warranty.
- The warranty does not cover damage Resulting from improper installation or liquid damage.
Battery Replacement Warranty (1 Year)
- All brand-new batteries include a 1-year warranty.
- Applies to:
- Online part purchases – covers the battery itself.
- In-store battery repairs – covers both parts and labor.
- Mail-in battery repairs – covers both parts and labor.
- Warranty covers actual defects or internal failures, not normal wear or gradual capacity loss over time.
Liquid Damage Repairs Warranty
- 60-day warranty applies to completed liquid damage repair services.
- Coverage is limited to the initial repair performed.
- Recurring or secondary liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
Extended Warranty (1-Year Option for Repairs Only)
- Available only for repairs, not individual parts.
- ValeTek Extended Warranty can be purchased at checkout for 20% of the invoice total.
- Extends the warranty through 10 months beyond the 60-day full warranty.
- Cannot be added after purchase.
Key Notes
- You cannot add or extend the warranty after purchasing the item.
- Any damage, misuse, unauthorized repair, or third-party modification voids the warranty.
- TEKDEP reserves the right to determine eligibility for warranty claims.
TEKDEP Warranty Request
Online Orders:
All warranty claims must be submitted within the warranty period, starting from the delivery date. Include your order number and a detailed description of the issue.
Local Orders:
Visit TEKDEP location during regular business hours to drop off your device for warranty service.
Data Backup and Loss
Please back up your data before sending or dropping off your device. TEKDEP is not responsible for data loss during any repair or warranty service. Data recovery is available as a separate service if needed.
Average Turnaround Time
Service typically takes 5–9 business days from the time your device arrives at our facility. This estimate covers the time required to complete the necessary repairs or services. Please note that we do not include shipping and delivery times, and factors such as part availability or unforeseen circumstances may cause delays.
Out-of-Warranty Service
If your device is no longer covered under warranty, you can still use TEKDEP’s professional repair services. Standard diagnostic and labor rates will apply, along with the cost of any required parts.
Abandoned Property
Please pick up devices within 90 days of service completion. We may recycle or responsibly dispose of unclaimed items due to limited storage capacity.
Online & In-Store TEKDEP Warranty Coverage and Limitations:
- All repairs include a 60-day full warranty covering both parts and labor. Customers may purchase the 1-year ValeTek Extended Warranty at checkout to extend coverage beyond 60 days. Brand-new batteries include a 1-year warranty for defects or failures across online, in-store, and mail-in services.
- Battery Issues: We replace batteries displaying a “Replace” warning or showing less than 80% of their original capacity compared to a new battery.
- Non-Covered Services: Software, operating system issues, malware, and virus removal are not covered under warranty. These services are available at our standard repair labor rates.
- Additional Repairs: Any unrelated or non-covered repairs required for full device operation are the customer’s responsibility, including labor costs.
- Voided Warranty: Warranty coverage is void if the device has been serviced by an unauthorized third party, or shows signs of misuse, physical damage, liquid damage, or other similar conditions.
- Refunds and Replacements: If we are unable to successfully repair your device after two attempts, we’ll make it right — whether that means issuing a refund, replacing the item, or reattempting the repair at no additional cost (up to the original service or product purchase price).
