Building the ‘King of RGB’ – The Ultimate Budget Gaming PC Build Guide

OVERVIEW:

Building a custom white RGB PC that’s clean, cool, and capable of handling 1440p gaming is no easy task—especially if you want to keep things sleek, white-themed, and packed with performance. In this guide, we walk through every step of the build featured in the video, from planning and parts selection to the final aesthetic touches. Let’s get started.

Repair Time & Skill Level:

This repair is estimated to take about 2–3 HOURS to complete and is of INTERMEDIATE difficulty, requiring a basic understanding of PC components, proper cable management, and careful installation of cooling and power systems.

STEPS:

Tools You Need

For this build, you will need a Phillips screwdriver for securing components, an anti-static wrist strap (recommended) to prevent electrostatic damage while handling sensitive parts, and a microfiber cloth or paper towel to clean surfaces and remove dust during assembly.

PC Components:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
  • GPU: ASRock RX 6700 XT Phantom Gaming
  • Motherboard: NZXT N7 B650E (White)
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5 White RGB
  • Storage: 2TB Lexar NM790 NVMe SSD
  • CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite 240 RGB (White)
  • Case: NZXT H6 Flow RGB (White)
  • Power Supply: 850W NZXT C-series Gold (White, fully modular)
  • Fans: 3x NZXT RGB fans (included with case)

Install the CPU

Start with the motherboard. Carefully open the socket latch, align the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with the triangle corner, and gently drop it into the socket. Close the latch to lock it in place. Always double-check alignment—no force should be required.

Install the NVMe SSD

Locate the M.2 slot on the NZXT N7 motherboard. Remove the heatsink, slot the Lexar 2TB NVMe SSD into place, and secure it with the screw. Reattach the heatsink to keep temperatures low.

Install the RAM

Insert the 32GB white RGB DDR5 RAM into the appropriate DIMM slots. Push firmly until you hear a click. Refer to the motherboard manual to ensure correct dual-channel placement.

Prep the Case

Unbox the NZXT H6 Flow case. This stunning white chassis includes three RGB fans pre-installed. Carefully remove both glass panels to access the interior. Before mounting the motherboard, install the standoffs if they’re not pre-installed. Clean up any dust with a microfiber cloth or paper towel.

Mount the Motherboard

Line up the NZXT N7 B650E motherboard with the standoffs and I/O shield. Secure it using the screws provided. Ensure a snug fit and no cables are caught underneath.

Prep and Install the PSU

Unbox the 850W NZXT C-series Gold power supply. Since it’s fully modular, only plug in the cables you need:

  • 24-pin motherboard
  • 8-pin CPU
  • PCIe cables for the GPU
  • SATA if necessary

Mount the PSU into the rear compartment of the H6 Flow and route the cables through the cutouts for easy cable management.

Connect PSU Cables to Motherboard

Plug in the 24-pin and 8-pin CPU power connectors to the motherboard. Feed cables through the cable management channels for a clean interior look.

Install the CPU Cooler

Time to mount the NZXT Kraken Elite 240 RGB. This cooler comes with a display screen and RGB lighting. First, mount the radiator and fans at the top of the case. Then, apply thermal paste (if not pre-applied) and mount the pump head to the CPU using the AM5 mounting brackets. Secure the pump, plug in the RGB and fan headers to the appropriate motherboard headers or NZXT controller.

Install the GPU

Insert the ASRock RX 6700 XT Phantom Gaming graphics card into the top PCIe slot. Once it clicks into place, secure it to the case with screws. Connect the PCIe power cables from the PSU.

Tidy Up the Cable Management

Use cable ties or the case’s built-in Velcro straps to bundle and hide cables behind the motherboard tray. Clean routing ensures both better airflow and a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Boot Test

Before putting the glass panels back on, plug in the power cable, connect a monitor, and power on the system. Check:

  • RGB lighting functionality
  • CPU cooler screen and fan operation
  • Motherboard post status
  • Display output from GPU

If everything looks good—RGB lights up, fans spin, and BIOS appears—you’re ready to move forward.

Conclusion:

This custom white RGB PC build balances great looks with strong 1440p gaming performance. The NZXT H6 Flow case and Kraken Elite cooler add a sleek, modern vibe, while the AMD 7600X and RX 6700 XT deliver solid frame rates. Cable management is clean and airflow is optimized. With the right tools, this build is both achievable and rewarding. Perfect for gamers and creators who want performance with style.
