We will be assembling a custom gaming rig using the ASRock A520M HVD motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor, and an RTX 2080 graphics card. This build is designed for a customer looking for a powerful yet cost-effective gaming PC. Follow along as we install the CPU, RAM, motherboard, cooling system, power supply, and more.

Tools You Need
For this build, you will need a Phillips screwdriver, SATA cables, a rear IO shield, and cable ties for managing internal wires. Having an anti-static wrist strap is also recommended to prevent damage to sensitive components.

Prepare the Motherboard
- Open the motherboard box and remove necessary accessories such as SATA cables and the IO shield.
- Set aside unused components like driver discs and extra screws.
- Place the motherboard on a flat, non-static surface.

Install the CPU and the Cooler
- Open the CPU socket and align the CPU with the gold arrow marking.
- Carefully place the CPU in the socket and lock it in place.
- Remove stock mounting brackets using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Attach the included Wraith Spire CPU cooler in a cross pattern to ensure even pressure.

Install the RAM
- Take the 16GB DDR4 RAM modules and align the notch with the slot.
- Firmly press down until you hear a click.
- Repeat for the second stick.
Install the Rear IO Shield
- Orient the shield correctly by aligning the audio jacks at the bottom.
- Firmly snap it into the case’s IO panel opening.

Install the Motherboard
- Align the motherboard with the IO shield and pre-installed standoffs.
- Secure the motherboard using the screws included with the case.
Connect Front Panel and Case Cables
- Plug in the USB 3.0 connector, chassis fan headers, and front panel audio.
- Locate and connect the power switch, power LED, and hard drive LED.
- Consult the motherboard manual for pin layout guidance.

Install the Graphics Card
- Remove the necessary rear expansion covers.
- Insert the RTX 2080 into the PCIe slot until it clicks into place.
- Secure it using screws to prevent sagging over time.
Install the SSD
- Mount the 1TB Lexar SSD into a drive bay using the included screws.
- Connect a SATA cable from the motherboard to the SSD.
- Route and secure the SATA power cable from the power supply.
Install the Power Supply
- Place the power supply with the fan facing downward for optimal airflow.
- Secure it with the included screws from the rear panel.
- Connect the necessary power cables (24-pin motherboard, 8-pin CPU, and PCIe for the GPU).

Final Cable Management and Testing
- Tidy up loose cables using zip ties and route them properly.
- Flip the case over and double-check all connections.
- Power on the system, verify all fans and components are working.
- Install the operating system and drivers.
