These tools help safely remove and reinstall delicate parts like the trackpad, speakers, battery, and logic board components without causing additional damage.
Reconnect Keyboard and Backlight
- Insert the keyboard cable into the daughterboard and ensure it sits flat across the connector.
- Close the retention bracket to secure the connection.
- Confirm that the backlight connector on the left-hand side is already plugged in.
Install New Touch ID
- Feed the Touch ID cable through the top case and position the sensor correctly.
- Align the bracket over the sensor with the foam side down and secure it using a T3 screwdriver and six screws.
- Plug the flex cable into the daughterboard and lock it with the retention bracket.

Install Audio and Charging Ports
- Slide the headphone jack and microphone array into place and secure with T5 screws.
