Reviving the Legendary MacBook Pro 13″ – New SSD, Battery Installation & LCD Cover Repair Guide
OVERVIEW:
In this repair tutorial, we walk through a comprehensive restoration of a MacBook Pro Model A1278. This unit had a broken hinge cover, damaged hinges, a failing battery, and a non-functioning disc drive. We’ll show how to replace the LCD hinges and cover, remove the defective battery, and install an SSD adapter in place of the optical drive. Since this is an older model, a few case screws were missing, which simplifies the teardown slightly. The process is methodical, with careful handling of internal components to ensure a successful repair.

- Remove the screws underneath to free the Wi-Fi Bluetooth module.
